Dear Eric Smith,I have been an avid hunter for over 20 years. In 2000, I took my passion one step further and became a videographer for outdoor shows such as Numzaan Safaris, Jim Shockey Hunting Adventures, Michael Waddell Road Trips, Walker Game Ear, and Monster Bucks. As hunters, we all work hard in planning and preparing for our hunts. When the time comes to put all of our planning and preparation into executing the perfect shot to harvest our animals, the next step is picturing this trophy in our homes. There is nothing worse then receiving your trophy after taxidermy and the quality of work is less then you expected. Finding Smith’s Taxidermy Studio for me was like finding the ultimate Saskatchewan deer haven. The quality and treatment you receive from Eric and his staff is first class in everyway from start to finish. My friend and I have enjoyed hunting in Africa several times over the last 10 years and his dream was to harvest a baboon. On his 4th safari, he finally got his opportunity to smack one. But as we all know, sometimes our bullets do not hit where we intended them too. Unfortunately, he shot his baboon in the face. We both thought the mount would be unfixable because of the extensive damage to the front of the baboons face. As you can tell from the picture below, the mount came out looking life like. “Incredible work from Smith’s Taxidermy Studio.” I recommend Smith Taxidermy to all of my friends and family. They have mounted over 70 animals for us and we are proud to be their lifetime clients.
Smith’s Taxidermy provides excellent customer service and all of his creations show the true details of the animal’s natural look. We love his work and have had many animals mounted.
Eric makes every trophy animal, bird or fish come alive with the detail and perfection of his work. He is not satisfied until your mount is ready to jump off the wall like it is alive.
If I had to describe Smith’s Taxidermy in one word it would simply be, Excellence! Being a patron for the past 10 years I have yet to be disappointed with any of his work. His work with “traditional” mounts is incredible, but his ability to step outside the box and create new wildife scenes showcases the true talents and craftmanship of his work.Smith’s Taxidermy not only captures the true essence of your trophy, but is both considerate and helpful through the process. With a quick turn around time, and helpful tips in storing/preparing your trophy, I consider Smith’s to one of the leaders in modern taxidermy and insist on upon their services. As a medical school student at the Univeristy of New England located in Maine, I still find time to enjoy the great outdoors. And whenever I am lucky enough to harvest a trophy animal/fish, I contact Smith’s Taxidermy with great anticipation because of their incredible reputaton. From turkies to caribou and furs to fish, Smith’s Taxidermy has surpassed all of my expectations and I consider them to be one of the top taxidermist in the country.
